Once again, our esteemed German partners at Grobi.tv and Heimkinobau.de have outdone themselves. This time, they ingeniously transformed a mere 17-square-meter space into a fully equipped home theater, and their work is truly commendable!

Back in January 2024, Daria and Besfort reached out to the installers with a vision: they wanted to create their own home theater on the picturesque coast of Wurster, overlooking the North Sea. Before making their decision, the customers visited the Heimkinobau demo cinema and were impressed by the performance of the MAG Theatron loudspeakers installed there.​ Holger Franz, the expert behind the project, visited the site, meticulously measuring and initiating the design process. Remarkably, by July, their dream home theater was fully realized.

It was not an easy mission, considering the room dimensions of just 3.42 x 4.88 meters with a ceiling height of 2.6 meters. Yet, even in such a confined space, they successfully installed a screen with a visible width of 2.8 meters and a 4K laser projector, the EPSON LS12000B.

When it came to selecting audio equipment, the choice was evident: the Experience Series from MAG Theatron proved ideal for compact spaces, yet it managed to deliver the same dynamic impact and cinematic expression found in larger theaters. For behind-the-screen speakers, they used 3 x MAG Theatron M8s, with 4 x MAG Theatron S6s for surround sound, and low-profile MAG Theatron CS44s for the top surrounds. Two MAG Theatron SB18 subwoofers completed the setup.

The clients are overjoyed with the outcome. Despite its cozy dimensions, the theater delivers a powerful sound experience that renders the room’s size inconsequential—immersing viewers in remarkable volume. And beyond its primary role as a movie screening haven, the theater doubles as a gaming room. A PlayStation 5 running in 4K at 120Hz with surround sound makes the gaming experience incredibly immersive, literally drawing players into the action.

This flagship home theater was crafted by our German partners Grobi.tv and Heimkinobau, under the guidance of renowned expert Holger Franz. The project was purposefully designed not only for demonstration but also as a business showcase, highlighting the premium cinema experience with MAG Theatron acoustics. It’s located along the North Sea coast in Lower Saxony, in the municipality of Wurster Nordseekueste, just north of Bremen and west of Hamburg.

The setup is uncompromising in many ways: featuring a full 13.1.10 spec including Dolby Atmos, Auro3D, DTS-X, and IMAX Enhanced. It sports a premium MAG Theatron acoustics setup, including 3 x M12, 10 x S8 (lower level), 10 x CS44 (upper level), 8 x DBA18 Sub (Double Bass Array), and the one-of-a-kind ultimate cinema subwoofer MAG THOR-24, designed for large theaters. It hits infrasound frequencies (16 Hz at -10 dB) and an unparalleled peak sound pressure of 140 dB.

The room measures 5.10 x 10.50 x 3.0 meters. It uses a Display Technologies screen measuring 420 cm x 236 cm with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a Barco Freya – RGB laser projector. The setup includes 2 x Trinnov Amplitude 16 power amplifiers and two unique High-End preamps/AV Processors: Trinnov Altitude 32 and Storm Audio ISP Elite 32, also ready for demonstration and comparison. The room is fully acoustically prepared in accordance with all cinema building rules. Seating is done by Moovia including two rows of three (totaling six) seats.

With the release of the new magnificent flagship screen system in 2024, Holger has begun to think about an upgrade, as the M12 has been dethroned by the fresh leadership MAG Theatron M15. It’s great to see the demo room maintain its top-notch relevance.

Mülheim an der Ruhr – a quaint German town nestled in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, part of the iconic Ruhr area, is a place that seamlessly combines rich cultural heritage with breathtaking natural landscapes. This town, steeped with history, once thrived as a hub for coal and steel industries, shaping its unique character and national significance. But amidst the industrial echoes of the past, one of its own residents, Sasha, harbored a dream – a true home cinema. Thanks to the dynamic synergy of MAG Theatron, grobi.tv, and heimkinobau.de, that dream recently became a dazzling reality.

Within the confines of a 21-square-meter space in his home, Sasha initially envisioned a bar, but these plans languished, and the space remained a small storage area for quite some time. However, dreams are meant to be fulfilled, and thus about six months ago Sasha finally mustered the courage to turn his dream into a tangible marvel. The meticulous planning and outfitting of the room took around three months, resulting in a complete ‘black cave’ transformation, precisely according to the client’s desires. With the addition of a state-of-the-art MAG Theatron acoustic system, Sasha can now experience full cinematic audio dynamics, immersing himself in magical movie nights with his family & friends.

This modern-day cinema adheres to the 7.1.4 configuration, supporting Auro-3D, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-X formats. The MAG Theatron equipment lineup includes:

Mülheim an der Ruhr’s cinematic gem, brought to life through Sasha’s vision, MAG Theatron loudspeakers, and the expertise of Grobi.tv Heimkino & mehr and Heimkinobau.de, is now the epitome of home entertainment, where the magic of the silver screen unfolds within the comfort of home walls, enchanting residents and visitors alike.

When they started building this house a few years ago, it was already clear that the space in the basement would be reserved for a home theater. After 3 years of construction, the customer’s dream came true. The 600 cm x 455 cm x 240 cm cinema was created exactly according to the customer’s wishes with two rows of seats for the whole family and a very dynamic cinema sound thanks to the MAG Theatron speaker systems.
